Sujamal reveals the plan that Abul and Shareef were plotting to one of Akbar's close associates. The associate in turn reveals it to Shareef-ud-din. Shareef gets alert, he is ready to use his sword to silence the associate but then he realises that the associate only knows about Abul and has no idea of himself being involved in the plot. Mahamanga is jealous that Akbar is throwing a bash for Jodha. Jodha is in a dillema as to what to wear for the party. Suddenly Akbar enters and advices her to wear green. Akbar asks her why she drank the poison to save him, Jodha continues to give unconvincing answers.
