While Jodha and Akbar are having a good time together, Rukaiyaa is extremely angry with her servants. Mahamanga only adds coal to the fire by saying that Jodha is now Akbar's special Begum and not Rukaiyaa. While on ride, Jodha and Akbar learn that it was somebody elses plan to get them to go on a boat ride together. Rukaiyaa is upset and after finding out that Jodha has returned from the ride rushes towards her. Rukaiyaa blames her for interfering in her relationship with Akbar and stealing her opportunities. Jodha tries to explain to her that it wasn't she who invited Akbar to the ride. Rukaiyaa takes the matter to Akbar. The misunderstanding regarding the usage of the term ' Khaas Begum' is understood. Rukaiyaa is upset that Akbar now considers even Jodha to be a special Begum.
Jodha Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a political marriage of convenience saga between a Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. But much more then that it's the marriage of contrasts.
