    Bakshi Banu requests Jodha to hide the fact that her baby is a girl and not a boy. Jodha makes a promise to her and later is in a dilemma as to what to do. Later, Salima begum finds this out from Jodha and the two of them decide to tell about it to Akbar. When they don't find Akbar anywhere they decide to reveal this to Rukaiyya Begaum and to Akbar's mother. The two of them get shocked learning this. Meanwhile, Shareef-ud-din is extremely excited regarding the birth of his son and even gives the baby a name. He later decides to take the baby to the 'kazis' to name the baby. Meanwhile, Shareef-ud-Din slaps the 'hakim' when she predicts that Bakshi Banu will give birth to a girl. Shareef-ud-din gets furious with his wife when she too asks for a girl as her child. Shareef-ud-din feels that a girl will always lead to insult for the family and says that he needs a boy to take forward his lineage.   • Jodha Akbar - Episode 318 - August 29, 2014 Mahamanga gets furious with the death of her son and she curses Akbar that he too will suffer the loss of his child. She later prays to Allah saying that Jodha's baby should be born dead. Seeing Mahamanga cursing and shouting against Jodha's baby, Akbar immediately asks his soldiers to take her away. Later, Akbar decides to stay alone and shouts at Rukaiyya Begum when she tries to speak to him.   • Jodha Akbar - Episode 317 - August 28, 2014 Akbar comes to meet Jodha but Jodha only gets scared seeing his faced smeared with blood. Akbar immediately leaves Jodha and goes to the 'hamam' to have his bath. Later arrangements are made to bury Adham Khan's body along with all the rituals. Akbar and all the begums weep in front of Adham's body while the rituals take place. Meanwhile, Mahamanga wants to have a last glimpse at her son and seems to have lost all her sanity and starts to behave very strangely.
