Meanwhile, Abul Mali along with his soldiers arrives at the 'haram' and informs them that he has killed their king Akbar. He shows them the armour worn by Akbar that has blood all over it. The begums get shocked seeing the bloodied sword and the armour. Abul Mali claims that the begums now belong to him as he has defeated their king. But, Jodha begum soon realizes that Akbar is alive and Abul Mali is only lying to them. Jodha begum refuses to believe that Akbar has died the death of a coward and tries to convince the other begums that Akbar is alive. Todarmal goes to the begums and informs them about Akbar being captured by the enemies.
