In the August 27 episode of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan aired on Zee TV, Janvi humiliates Bapuji in presence of the villagers by revealing that he has not yet conducted Ammaji's last rites. She also reveals Bapuji's injustice towards Bhabhi.
Bapuji is shocked when Bhaiya also supports Janvi and the villagers question Bapuji's role as the Sarpanch of the village.
Later, Bapuji's family gets ready to conduct Ammaji's last rites. Bapuji reaches the spot and asks for forgiveness from his family members. Janvi then convinces Bapuji to conduct Ammaji's last rites.
In the August 26 episode of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan aired on Zee TV, the Garodia family manages to save Suman before she can commit suicide. Janvi too reaches the spot and informs them about Bapuji's decision of not letting Suman enter the house.
Janvi vows to take Suman back home and also to conduct Ammaji's last rites. Champa helps Janvi to get hold of the bottle in which Ammaji's ashes are kept.
When Nikhil gets to know that Bapuji has not yet conducted Ammaji's last rites, he too supports Janvi's decision.
Later, Bapuji attends some function in the village. Janvi, Suman and some other women too reach the spot.

In the August 25 episode of Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan aired on Zee TV, Payal tries to stab Gauri but Akash reaches in time and manages to save her.
On the other hand, Bapuji informs Janvi that earlier Ammaji used to get widows remarried. On one such occasion, he had a tiff with Ammaji during which he accidently ended up killing her.
Janvi challenges Bapuji by saying that she will bring Suman back home.
